Sugar Cookies

2 cups sugar
1 lb butter
4 eggs
5 cups flour
2 tsp BS
4 tsp crème of tartar
Vanilla
1 tsp salt

Cream together first two ingredients and add eggs and vanilla, beating to mix. Add flour, BS, Tartar, salt mixture a little at a time. Roll and cut into shapes.

Bake 350 for 6-8 mins

Ice when cooled.
